Just two retired folks that are having fun. We both worked all our lives. We finally had enough and left the security of our careers. We wanted to go see the world but we hate umbrella drinks. So we went out and bought back packs, loaded up on Aleve and Bengay and hit the road. Join us and share in the fun as we travel down the road not over the hill!

We are getting close and getting excited!
On our third trip to Africa we will be exploring 9+ countries. We had hope to include some even more remote countries but with Ebola and African terrorist targeting Westerners it is just beyond dangerous. The first 46 days of our trip will be overlanding/camping. That entails sleeping on the ground in tents, preparing our meals and traveling long distances by truck. It is by far the most challenging way to travel but also enables us to truly experience the culture and people. We will also be visiting orphanages, schools and local villages which is by far our favorite part of the trip. We will also be in the African bush seeing the huge array of animals in their natural environment throughout the first 46 days of the trip and also the last 13 days when we will be at three bush camps in South Africa. .
The countries we will be visiting are Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabawe, Botswana and South Africa.
More to come as we begin our journey as Travelers Down the Road.....
